Vantaggi
Nearly everyone I work with is competent at their jobs. Additionally, from the top to the bottom, people care about each other. Different viewpoints are requested and actually listened to. The culture is one of tolerance and support. Management actively asks how you are doing, and supports you and yours as best they can. They'd rather help you or change something than lose a valuable employee. When they do have to do major changes, they try to mitigate the damage they may do to people's lives while still doing what's best for the company. They're remarkably sanguine about race, creed, disability status, and other -isms, and trying to improve in this area even as they are one of the better companies I've ever worked for in this aspect.
Svantaggi
The pay is less than the industry average. A few people have been able to coast on early reputation and effort beyond when they stop putting in said effort. The environment of tolerance can sometimes allow people to slack off.
