Vantaggi

Sagetech is a small company that is very dynamic internally and in the marketplace. It's fun to work for a company that is a leader in the emerging UAV industry and will play a key role in safe operation of UAVs in the future. The small, growing company in a brand new industry is driven to realize it's vision. This often means hard decisions and sometimes this means tough staff cuts, but it leaves the company stronger. Not exercising the discipline to keep the company lean, and capable would be a disservice those that remain with the company and give it their all, If someone fits the culture and has something to give they will be given the opportunity to build skills and contribute much more than most companies, in this way I see it as a meritocracy, something that is rare in the typically overly-bureaucratically-mired company. If you want to work in a high-paced, cutting edge industry, Sagetech will give back more than you give. Great medical/life insurance benefits, 401k matching, several annual company events, amazing location in the Columbia River Gorge - one of the most sought-after locations in the country for outdoor enthusiasts of all stripes. One hour's drive from Portland, OR.

Svantaggi

Sagetech's culture is not for those that want to rest an their laurels or who want to live in a bustling city.

9/80 schedule or 4/10 schedule

Svantaggi

C-level would fire and lay-off employees with little to no input from employees’ managers. In particular, this was done in preparation for and during Receivership so they could buy the company and have the team they wanted who would do whatever they asked. They are responsible for many losing their jobs and companies not being paid for products and services they provided. Managers tried really hard to do the right thing but weren't listened to by the c-level and were consequently blamed by employees for the company’s issues while it was out of their hands.
