      There are no pros to working for Saipem. Husky should be embarrassed to still have this company building their plant. The recent articles have said it all.

      The worst company ever to be awarded a contract in the oil sands. There are no morals or ethics in this company from the top down. HR department is a joke, both in Calgary and on site. I have seen them target and bully several employees for no reason, including their own coworkers. Work here if you want to commit career suicide.

      Vantaggi

      Great responsibility for offshore operations and quay-side mobilizations. Less technical role (no direct engineering performed), but more so, practical experience-driven when executing onsite.

      Svantaggi

      Lots of reading and writing (Purchase Requests>Purchase Orders>Final contracts). Bureaucratic procurement (SAP and Word/Excel heavy) and poor interdepartmental follow-up: you have to do the follow-up when the assigned project inspector and expeditor (POSE) don't follow up on your PO. High workload.
