I felt unprepared and unsupported - Recensione dipendente - Cashier presso Savers

This was my first ever job in retail, and in my interview I even told the manager, "I feel a little nervous about working the register," and he assured me that I would receive plenty of training and wouldn't be alone on register until I felt ready. I was given about an hour or 2 of another employee working next to me while they manned their own register, and that was about it. My direct supervisor was very supportive to have me doing fitting rooms and keeping the floor nice and only called to register as backup, but I only lasted about a month only working weekends because it was too stressful of an environment for me. I received a lot of training about the good the company does for the community, but bare bones as to how to do the actual job itself.
