Very low pay, starting at $10/hour which is about $2.50 below the average starting rate for scribes at other companies. Huge amount of learning and level of responsibility with the access to sensitive medical information which is not reflected in the pay. Little to no support at the local level beyond the chief scribe role which makes success of the site extremely difficult. Huge turnover rate due to poor pay and high levels of responsibility and long hours.
