Vantaggi

* compensation has been solid for the most part * competent people * nice office * snacks and lunches * massages, gym

Svantaggi

bonus scheme is not transparent at all. you never know what to expect whole year, even directionally. you could very well put in extra time, effort, basically go extra mile just to receive less TC at the end of the year.

Vantaggi

Many young people have been able to grow quickly in their careers - fast internal progression is common. Startup-style approach to decision making, flexibility, and ownership, but with surprisingly mature processes in data gathering, processing, engineering, and in general analytical tooling. Strong focus on employee well-being, especially in the US office (healthcare benefits, vacation etc.)

Svantaggi

Not enough engineering/technical capacity to support all the ideas and business opportunities - can feel stretched at times. Bonus system lacks transparency (although still fairly predictable). Some corporate processes feel forced and end up being inefficient (e.g., security policies, feedback cycles).

Vantaggi

US processes are a blank state; chance to learn self-reliance quickly. Prague runs the show. Significant interaction with the European headquarters, as most key technical expertise and decision-making authority resides in Prague.

Svantaggi

US operation feels disconnected & poorly managed. Revolving door of employees is disruptive. There's a culture of micromanagement which makes it difficult to operate effectively. Strategic direction changes happen more often than what I feel is normal, creating constant flux about goals and priorities. To be blunt, it feels like you're part of a business experiment rather than a serious, lasting startup venture. Decision making seems heavily reliant on Prague, limiting local autonomy and slowing down progress. Basic operational support can feel inadequate. During the interview, the advice is to thoroughly investigate the parent company's genuine dedication to the US market and the actual scope of authority granted to the local team. Don't get sold a dream and end up in a nightmare.
