Svantaggi
The departments all have their different issues. The IT/tech department/org is set in ways regarding organization and assignments that are not productive. The pay for IT is poor, and most employees use it as a stepping stone to other companies. Management is not open to suggestions regarding pay or other things. I left the company for a $20,00 raise for similar responsibilities and SQ only offered a $5,000 raise. The overall culture in the IT area is poor. There is constant talking bad about agents, and security employees have been fired for reporting basic security vulnerabilities that management was not willing to change due to the impact on end users. Helpdesk has serious culture issues with new managers constantly being piled on while there simply is not enough hands on deck to support the numerous agent classes. The company stock has performed poorly on the market. Do not recommend buying. The overall technology, at least on the backend is buggy and resource intensive with outdated practices. The front end supposedly works well for agents and admins. I am not on a agent facing team, but I have heard sales at Selectquote is a typical sales position with high performers getting better opportunities at high quality leads while those starting out in sales get low quality leads, leading to less sales. Most agents are required to have their camera on the whole day so they can be monitored to ensure they are working (hourly pay + commissions). It is easy to get a sales job though, just find a current employee at the company on LinkedIn and have them refer you. If interested in the company, I would encourage any potential candidate to use it purely as a stepping stone to another company. Be sure to find a current employee on LinkedIn so they can refer you (they get a $ bonus too, all the better).
