Vantaggi
Sensient is a breath of fresh air compared to everywhere else I have worked. It is an ethical company with high expectations for integrity. It has a compelling value proposition. It rewards performance. It makes sure its employees know the company's strategy and gives its employees freedom to operate to help the company execute on that strategy. The work environment is very fast-paced and intellectually stimulating; we have operations on six continents so there are frequent opportunities to work with smart people all over the world. And there is little or no bureaucracy -- you are not going to have eight different bosses asking you about your TPS reports. The CEO likes to say that the company is only interested in hiring 'A' players. Based on my observations and experience, if you are an 'A' player, you will love working at Sensient and can have a long career here: The company compensates high performers well, actively promotes from within, and expects employees to take ownership of their roles. In addition, the company has an active succession planning program and encourages employees to take charge of their careers. For a high performer, it does not get any better than that. On the other hand, working at Sensient is not for everybody. You probably will not like working at Sensient if you are not smart, are only interested in doing the bare minimum, or are the type of person who needs constant guidance from your manager about how to do your job.
