Vantaggi

A lot of great people still there. Don't know for how long.

Svantaggi

Late owner/founder of the company knew what he was doing. Hired a lot of smart people and gave them a lot of freedom. People accepted lower than average salaries for unique working conditions. Everybody had own office. Nobody cared how you do your job as long as you delivered. Challenging problems to solve. Managed to compete against companies 100 times larger with 100 times more workforce as people were really loyal. Low staff turnover as people were interested in what they were doing. Now new management decided to cut costs. Moved all the people to cubicles. Put a rope around their necks with surveillance and time control. Salaries are still low though. Average company with lower that average salaries. Most experienced people are leaving. Those who remain are now doing time management instead of work. Don't know where this is all going. Wait until they roll out the system to all the offices. More people to leave most likely. Shame really, used to be a great place to work.

Vantaggi

Excellent place to learn how software survives without active development. Engineers gain rapid experience in being resource-optimized. Meetings are plentiful; outcomes optional. Ideal if you enjoy watching institutional knowledge evaporate in real time.

Svantaggi

This was never a strong engineering company - just one that burned through people while coasting on aging products. Engineers are treated as disposable, real contributors are pushed out, and institutional knowledge is routinely discarded. What’s left is process, confusion, and churn instead of technical direction. Customers looking for stability, innovation, or long-term support should be cautious and look elsewhere.
