Change is a necessary part of growth as we adapt to the dynamic industry we serve and strive to improve how we best service our customers and work together. Our transition to the Powered Services Model in early 2024 was an essential step toward achieving our vision of providing innovative solutions for our customers. These shifts required us to streamline processes and align teams, which unfortunately led to some difficult decisions, including layoffs. At the same time, it also led to growth opportunities for many of our employees, while giving all team members access to more teammates, expanded knowledge and shared expertise across our product lines. By coming together as one cohesive group, we're building a stronger foundation for collaboration, innovation and delivering exceptional value to our customers. We understand that change can sometimes feel like “flip-flopping,” but we've never wavered on our top priority: focusing on our customers and providing them with the best solutions. Changes in processes or priorities are made with this goal in mind, ensuring we adapt to the needs of the market and our business. We appreciate your feedback as it helps us navigate these changes thoughtfully and with continuous improvement in mind. After a leadership change, my experience declined significantly. In my opinion, the recruiting function lost strategic direction when it was placed under a sales/account management leader who, based on my experience, had little knowledge of recruitment operations, applicant tracking systems, employment laws, or recruiting best practices. During conversations about hiring, I felt pressured to prioritize a very narrow candidate profile described as “alpha” and “aggressive” young candidates rather than focusing on experience, qualifications, skills, and diversity. I also experienced comments that I understood as discouraging the hiring of African American candidates, which I found deeply concerning and inconsistent with the inclusive hiring principles I believe recruiters are responsible for upholding. As someone with extensive talent acquisition leadership experience, I believe recruiting should be led by professionals who understand employment law, compliance, structured hiring, and equitable talent practices. My experience left me concerned about the direction of the organization and its commitment to fair and compliant hiring.
