The camaraderie of the Minneapolis office folks is truly amazing. Everyone sticks together and supports one another among the small number of people that come into the office regularly. The benefits are good as a single person, and I've heard they're pretty decent for families too. Our onsite kitchen staff is second to none. Truly the most caring and giving of people. Middle management is filled with great leaders that work hard to keep their teams motivated and engaged.

Where to begin? There's rampant cronyism among the leadership ranks, hiring and promoting executive leadership based on their relationship with the CEO. Cost of living raises were denied for this year, noting the economic downturn, yet suspiciously, the HR department all received promotions. Leadership can't determine if we're a "marketing performance" company or if we're an "inclusivity" company, and while we have that identity crisis, let's go after Artificial Intelligence, too! The constant shifting of strategic priorities is enough to give someone whiplash. I'm sure there are plenty of resources (LinkedIn, Glassdoor, etc.) that can show the downward spiral of employment. Much of that is from employees departing of their own accord, but also, there are layoffs nearly weekly at this point. Leadership will say that they've done all the cuts they need, and the very next week, 5 more people are let go. Actions speak louder than words. Leadership gaslights employees, telling us that we don't understand transparency when we ask for context behind the continued layoffs, or complain of a vocal minority that is "ruining" the culture. Employee engagement surveys show the number of dissatisfied employees is far from a minority. But that doesn't sell well on LinkedIn. #GrowThriveBelong #WatchUsGrow If the economy were in a better place, I think the attrition numbers would be even higher for Siteimprove. You know it's bad when you talk with colleagues after a layoff and they say that they wish they were fired instead of their closest work friends. Since the leadership transition in 2021, I know of several employees that have had mental health crises, onset of eating disorders, smoking/drinking addiction relapses, and persistent anxiety, some of which has manifested into physical ailments. If you're reading this and are considering working for Siteimprove, do yourself a favor, and don't apply/withdraw your application. I have no doubt that you'd be a great colleague, but it's not worth sacrificing your well-being.

I spent more than seven years at Siteimprove before leaving for another opportunity and ultimately choosing to return. That decision alone reflects how highly I view the company. The greatest strength of Siteimprove is its people. Throughout my career, I worked with leaders who genuinely cared about employee growth, development, and long-term success. The culture encourages collaboration, ownership, and continuous learning while maintaining high standards of performance. Siteimprove also provides meaningful opportunities for career progression. I was trusted with increasing responsibility over the years, which helped accelerate my growth as both a sales professional and leader. The company consistently promotes talented individuals and gives employees opportunities to expand their impact. Other highlights include: • Strong leadership focused on developing people, not just driving results • Collaborative culture with talented, supportive colleagues • Meaningful opportunities for internal growth and career advancement • A company mission and products that create real value for customers • Continued investment in innovation, AI, digital experience, accessibility, and analytics • High-caliber employees who genuinely want to see each other succeed

Most of the challenges I observed stem from growth and ambition rather than fundamental organizational issues. Siteimprove continues to invest heavily in innovation, AI, digital experience, and new market opportunities. With that level of investment, priorities can occasionally shift as the company adapts to customer needs and market changes. Success often requires flexibility and a willingness to embrace change. As the organization continues to evolve, there are opportunities to further strengthen cross-functional alignment and simplify execution across teams. This is a common challenge for companies balancing innovation with scale, and one that Siteimprove is actively working to improve.

What really stands out about this company is the culture. It’s a place where performance and collaboration go hand in hand , everyone is motivated to do their best, but there’s also a strong sense of teamwork and support. The product itself is excellent, not just because of its innovation but because the team behind it truly believes in what they’re building. There’s a shared pride in the work and a humility that keeps people focused on continuous improvement. It’s the kind of environment where you’re encouraged to grow, contribute, and feel part of something meaningful. Honestly, I’d describe it as a fantastic performance culture supported by great people and a product that genuinely makes an impact. The benefits are second to none with a large 401k match!
