Working here has genuinely been such a rewarding experience. I’ve learned so much; not just about the role itself, but about leadership, teamwork, and how to consistently deliver a great customer experience. The team is what really makes this place special. There’s a strong sense of support, collaboration, and shared goals, which makes even learning experiences enjoyable. The culture is positive, fast-paced, and focused on growth, and it’s clear that people are trusted and encouraged to take ownership of their work. I honestly love coming to work each da. It’s a place where you’re challenged in the right ways, recognised for your efforts, and surrounded by people who genuinely want to see you succeed.

None that stand out. It is what you make it and if you communicate, you will get the support you need.

SKINKANDY trained me from the very basics and supported through various career progressions including leadership programs and development. Support is an endless well, you can reach out to every person for advice, assistance and guidance. The CEO himself is contactable, name another company that invites its employees into the conversation that way. They are always seeking to understand, grow and develop all that they do for the betterment of the clients and staff.
Svantaggi
Retail. Retail has its own set of demands and Skinkandy cannot escape the realities and pressure of the retail world. Some of us are just not built for it. But never once did I feel like I couldn’t express my struggles with this area of the industry and was always met with empathy and understanding and strategy to overcome the hurdles.

-Made some great friends… that’s where it ends.
Svantaggi
-This company is a money-hungry, mental health damaging, underpaying, ‘retail’ provider who don’t care about staff wellbeing OR customers. (To still claim ‘body piercer’, someone who handles needles, possible blood borne diseases and bodily fluids on a daily basis, as ‘retail’ is absolutely insane) -Higher ups play favourably and selfishly; if you’re not in the mean girls club, consider yourself an outcast. -Quality in all sectors have dropped dramatically year-by-year, including piercing training procedures! -Staff are used and abused, no work-life balance, and worked until they are forced into mental breakdowns and then made to feel bad when taking any/ all holidays or mental health leave. -The ‘new’ CEO has completely destroyed the vision of what SK used to be when it thrived and made people feel recognised and understood. They’re now on their ‘clean girl’ era and all of the alternative people are made to feel like the odd ones out… THESE PEOPLE ARE THE REASON YOUR BUSINESS IS STILL ALIVE. THEY DESERVE RECOGNITION. -Leadership is a joke and full of fear-mongering tactics! If KPIs aren’t hit to the degree they ask for- managers and the teams cop flack and they have piss-poor incentives/ no incentives/ no commissions (a ‘boost juice’ is not a great incentive for working your bum off for 38-40 hours a week… 🙄 just saying) -Everything about this company, basically just sucks and is inauthentic and poorly ran by a bunch of narcissists.
