Vantaggi
Kind, well-meaning people, several of whom are also talented
Svantaggi
Shamefully inexperienced leadership that have been bumbling around for years without a clue of how to build or grow a value-based consultancy. Even those who came from consulting have little strategic vision for innovative, high-value services and are stuck in a pattern of thinking that is transactional and staffing-focused. No one has a clue about consultative sales, so the training and mentoring for leaders (from leaders) is trash. Performance does not seem to be managed at the MD/GM levels, otherwise why are so many of them still hanging on while wildly missing their targets? (For years?) Why have a talent pyramid when 3/4 of the people in it have little/no consulting experience and project sizes make it impossible to give them the development experiences to progress? The whole business and talent model is deeply flawed. A wasted opportunity for what could otherwise be a niche player in a very competitive business services climate. They don’t get it.
