They hire people from everywhere Even if you went to OCAD you can still get an entry level sales job here If you are cutthroat sales guy - you can rise here If you are a woman in sales, you can rise too, but you better bring your 'man' behavior. It is very male-centric, i.e. you need to be comfortable with "locker-room talk" The company is very diverse. That is pretty much the best characteristic

The management is not trustworthy - they promised they not fire anyone during the pandemic and they still fired a bunch of people The company went public without telling any employees. Everyone was flabbergasted The "family" paradigm is used throughout. Managers will try to present themselves as your "fathers" so that you work free overtime Birch Hill, the hedge fund that owned Softchoice for 8 years before they sold it back on TSX, is a very opaque, un-transparent company that makes decisions without consulting anybody, especially not the employees It is pretty much impossible to rise in the company unless you are in Sales

What they tell you the role is definitely is NOT what it is. How they deceive you into taking this role is unethical. They promise you inbound and warm leads and claim to be the preferred AWS Partner but AWS doesn't want to deal with us at all because we don't have the technical staff qualified to support their customers. When we acquire AWS customers they wind up having a bad experience and Softchoice has a really bad reputation internally at AWS. They target ex AWS employees because they are already certified & they already have contacts. Meanwhile all the managers are not even certified, which means they don't know the content and can't talk with AWS Leaders effectively. There's favoritism so some people are forced to call nonstop and send emails but the people with sales don't do that. To cover it up, they just started having those people make calls but several months of records tell a different story. Management is extremely inexperienced and underpaid so they have side businessss and podcasts.
