Decent pay but ranges are becoming less and less, benefits are not bad, some nice people, helpful senior techs, but many are getting laid off

Staff quitting and layoffs so avoid. Company probably not doing well. No new hire onboarding process. Management team is mostly absent or remote.

1) I had a lot of freedom, being the only employee in the state.

1) Entirely on my own with very little support 2) Poor documentation 3) Infighting amongst teams 4) Paid in paper checks. Every single one was late. The latest was over two weeks late. They let me go after I called them out for it when they weren't responding to me asking about it. 5) I was hired on in September for one specific client. Find out two months later, said client had filed for Ch 11 in August. Why would you hire when you know this? They stopped serving the client for a while due to non payment.
