It's not just about making a quick profit and moving on, they want to build a lasting company that can change how the world thinks of energy. Not only that, but they care about their customers. I have never seen a sales organization that tried so hard to find the right solution for the client, not to make the sale.

The only con of working for SolarCity is the stress and frustration of dealing with misinformed customers. There are a lot of misconceptions about solar that you have to work through. It gets worse when other companies feed on that, and tell people what they think they already know, even if it is bad for the customer. This can result in lost sales, which not only affects your commissions, it is upsetting for your customers to be manipulated into something that will hurt them in the long run.
