Chaos in a time of change. Recent change in value of education and the promotion of nursing as a profession by midlevel management. Fiscally minded, but excessively so. There has to be a balance of balancing a budget while still taking care of patients and nurses. The concept of personal and team goals for performance is good. I personally feel this should be a percent raise "if allowed by budget" in addition to a cost of living increase across the board. I am not sure what system HR is using for salary analysis, but it is outdated!! My independent use of three systems, research on Bureau of Labor and Statistics website, and survey by national nursing association's reveal a much different rate of pay.
