The people that worked there made it very enjoyable. It was also a fairly low bar for entry. It is a great place to start a career in software, and get experience. You are able to get a couple promotions in a few years to show a better job title.

Their model is to hire high potential, but low experience employees and then churn them out every few years. Because of this, the pay is terrible. Do not expect to get paid your market value. Come in with no experience, get a couple promotions, then go find another job that pays well. I got a 60% increase when I left. Also, most of the competent sales leadership has left since I left. I can't speak for new leadership, but I do not get good reviews from people I am still connected with there.

Regarding your comment on churn and market-value pay, we do not operate by the plan you have stated. It is true that we want to be an accessible employer and break down barriers to entry. However, we benchmark our compensation structures regularly to remain fair to our employees and competitive in our market. We do hold our employees accountable for their performance and expect that they will be hitting their goals, and they will be rewarded based on their success. We have added new leadership to our teams and have been receiving great feedback from employees, customers, and investors on the new ideas these leaders have been bringing in and implementing. Finally, DEIB (Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Belonging) is an extremely important topic and conversation to us here at Sovos. With one of our core values as Be Inclusive, we expect this is a shared value throughout our teams and leadership. We will continue to carve out time and resources to ensure we are continually improving, growing, and learning together on DEIB topics.
