If your manager is a power tripping bully, you're screwed. Also HR will just pay lip service for whatever management is there. And there is a LOT of nepotism and favouritism, so good luck landing a promotion from within. They require that your manager fills a form and you need permission for everything. It actually doesn't matter how great of an employee you are, if you don't have connections, you won't get anywhere, even though they keep bragging about promoting from within.
