- Great medical and dental benefits - Some members of the wider team were respectful and a pleasure to work with (it is worth noting that these were not managers (the managers in particular were unprofessional, which says a lot about what kind of a person you need to be to climb the ladder)

- Very poor salary - for a Sales and Trading desk, the salary is far far below market average - Disgraceful managers in the Global Markets team - I would like to particularly call out the Sales team which was (and still is) led by some individuals who have absolutely no manners and were promoting a vicious culture of bullying and public embarrassment under the guise of "this will make you tougher and is good for character building" - HR did nothing about this despite complaints and these individuals are still to this day very well protected at the Sales desk in SSGM Hong Kong - Be prepared to fetch coffee - whether you're an intern or a part of the Graduate program, you're expected to get lunch + coffees for traders + sales staff. We were even expected to get orders from people with whom we had no interaction with by managers and the senior leadership turned a blind eye towards this - this is because of the archaic and toxic 80's banking culture which seems to plague the organisation - the fact that the stock price has tanked over 50% in the last 2 years alone says a lot about how poorly this place is run - Promotions are SOLELY granted by tenure - the longer you've worked there, the higher you climb - merit, intellect, managerial skills do not matter at all
