Historically, Sumaria has not had a good reputation in the Dayton area. They have new management. Undecided whether it’s an improvement. The hiring manager interviewed me for 90 minutes; she spent nearly the entire time talking about herself and her track record. Salary offered was not as competitive as similar positions; seems like they low ball candidates a bit. Benefits are average, nothing outstanding. Hiring manager made a demeaning remark about the appearance, i.e. less than polished business attire, of other non Sumaria employees in the program office, which I thought was unnecessary and unprofessional. A lot of lip service paid to taking care of employees, but no annual raises or bonuses (Every other contractor I’ve worked for has given a raise each year). Overall, not impressed. Management thinks very highly of themselves, but there are better companies that truly care about the employees. Glad I left.
