Lots of nice speaches on things like work life balance and caring for employees' wellness, but the reality is that leaders only care about what you deliver and put a lot of pressure. - Lots of overtime at the professional level, without much recognition. It's expected that you'll work 24/7, including weekends. - Managers care about results, not people. Only think short term deliverables to make them look good and not long term value. - Toxic environment and culture in many parts of the company. - The HR story is nice but isn't delivered by both leaders (with some exceptions) and HR itself. - Many members of senior management have big egos and only care about their own personal interests and image.
