Dwindling to zero investment in manager/employee development and effective performance management, lack of overall leadership with pervasive micro-management style, super-expensive health insurance, continuous attrition and brain-drain, tremendous lack of accountability in culture

Hi! We appreciate the time you took to provide us this feedback and we are sorry Sur La Table did not meet your expectations. We agree we have smart, personable and collaborative employees working at a highly respected brand. We are also extremely passionate about our products and we know we have work to do to right the ship. We learned a lot from our most recent engagement survey results and employee focus groups about specific areas for improvement. We have three HQ task force teams working to address process issues and are working to shift the culture to foster greater teamwork and accountability, and we are in the process of rolling out Performance Management training for HQ managers. We heard our employees and are making changes, changes that big take time. Thank you for your contribution to SLT and for the opportunity to respond to your comment. We know we missed the mark for you, but we've taken your feedback to heart and strongly believe the best years are ahead of us.
