Get paid while you look for a better job

This company does not offer a market-standard salary. If you attempt to negotiate, the HR representative immediately responds with comments like, “If you decide to look for another job, we will understand,” even before you start the role. The overall tone feels negative from the beginning. In my experience, the role can also be quietly eliminated later when the company “changes plans,” which effectively results in being laid off.
