A wonderful community of hard workers and driven students. If you intern here, there are great opportunities to work during the school year.

Work culture / intern expectations varies greatly lab by lab. Some students had to put in many more hours than reasonable to finish their presentations on time.

Great benefits considering size of company. 6 % matching for 401K, separate sick and vacation leave, flexible time off. Very involved in DEI.

Pay is very low. You most likely will need to have a 2nd job to afford a nice apartment by yourself. HR sees us as blue collar workers and expendable even though we are the ones generating the data which in turn provide jobs for bioinformaticians, data for grants, etc.
