Working for a small company definitely has it's benefits. It's great not having 3-4 supervisors and other useless management scrutinizing your every move. Not just another cog in the big machine. Got the opportunity to work on the latest non-proprietary equipment.

Some of the resources of a big company are not available, such as readily available labor for a two man job, but even that can be overcome pretty easily.

The people in manufacturing in the back are pleasant to work with.

Employee benefits do not apply until one year of employment. This means you don't have health coverage for the entire first year. This company is plagued with nepotism. The owner's wife does sales and she willfully is so ignorant of technical specifications relying on others for that, that she should be replaced with a bulletin board. This company works in a technical industry but the owner doesn't prioritize education or tech. By not investing in tech infrastructure, this causes processes to be inefficient, antiquated, and severely bottlenecked. The owner has not managed the company well causing him to be involved in the monotonous day-to-day operations.
