Too many higher up managers that don't work at the checkpoints that decide to pass down directives that a lot of the time seem to have nothing to do with security and have everything to do with control of their employees. They will hold things over your head to get you to comply. Don't use your sick time too much ( 6 times a year even with a doc note) or face potential restrictions or punishment. Work/life balance is quite awful. Seniority was hard to build up with the constant exodus of people under 5 years. Don't count on getting a holiday off if you have less than 5 years, unless it's your normal day off. Moving up the chain is doable, but it's not going to be performance based. It'll be based on saying the key words in a interview. Working hard has no incentive. Most overtime become lazy and just collect a paycheck.
