Rare opportunity for advancement, easy to get buried doing the same job for a long time. You are encouraged to be complacent and not strive for your personal goals. Newsroom computers (Operating on a Windows system at least 8 years old) and printers outdated which, cause issues with work flow. An expectation of being able to perform the same things as ESPN without the same resources. It's just not possible. Some of those in leadership roles need to be taught better communication tools. Criticism when not communicated constructively can damage morale. Employees feel hesitant to voice their concerns with management as they fear it will be detrimental to their career path. Clear disconnect between senior management and the newsroom.
