Really amazing culture, a values based organisation, where everyone is considerate and thoughtful. It has an open seating concept which is inviting and modern. Very strong communication, especially during a time of change as a new CEO is resetting the organisation and starting a massive restructuring. Currently the expectation is 5 days a month onsite, but there is suspicion that will change. Townhalls happen quarterly for a business unit, and company wide meetings happen once a month, and they have streaming questions. They are in the process of consolidation and standardization of processes and systems, big focus on operational excellence and IT modernization.

All senior level management is in Boston area, they come onsite once a month which is good, but if you’re not there, you’re not where the action is. There is a lot of restructuring taking place, there is a lot of communication and accessibility to management for questions. Support function processes and systems are rather out of date, but more modern than other healthcare companies, but considerably behind compared to non-healthcare companies

Takeda is in the process of undergoing big changes with new executive leadership and transformational technology investments. The company has been going through this process thoughtfully and communicating openly - in my experience, this is not always the case within large complex organizations. Its an exciting time that will hopefully lead to a lot of new opportunities and set us up well for the future. Beyond organizational changes - Takeda remains a great place to work. Thoughtful and kind colleagues, prioritizing DEI in a tough political climate, keeping the patient at the center of what we do, and pay/benefits that are beyond most of our industry peers.

Like all big pharma - we can sometimes overcomplicate things and move slowly. We need to continue as a company to work on agility and ability to make decisions more quickly.
