Vantaggi

The company offers half day Fridays, which is a nice idea in theory.

Svantaggi

I resigned after only two weeks because the reality of the role was completely different from what was presented during the interview process. With more than seven years of recruitment experience across agency and corporate environments, this was by far the most chaotic and overwhelming onboarding process I’ve experienced. There was no structured training plan. Instead, I was expected to sit through constant meetings while trying to absorb an overwhelming amount of information. In my first week alone, I attended over 30 meetings, often more than 10 calls a day. My calendar was completely controlled, including my lunch break, leaving almost no uninterrupted time to complete digest what I was learning. One of the biggest red flags was that I didn’t even meet my team lead until my second week. When we finally met, there didn’t seem to be clear alignment on which roles I would be supporting or what my day to day priorities would be. That lack of organization made it difficult to feel confident in the onboarding process. The recruiting process itself felt unnecessarily complex. There were countless systems, tools, and internal processes to learn, but recruiters had very little autonomy. We couldn’t source candidates ourselves, couldn’t post our own job ads, and were expected to rely on a single sourcer supporting more than 40 open positions. Rather than streamlining recruiting, these processes added unnecessary bottlenecks and slowed everything down. Although recruiters were assigned approximately 15 requisitions, the workload felt much higher because of the constant meetings, administrative tasks, approvals, and internal processes. It often felt like trying to manage 50 requisitions instead of 15. The company promotes half day Fridays as a benefit, but in reality recruiter work doesn’t stop. Many people still appeared to be working to keep up with their workload, making the benefit feel more like a marketing point than something employees could consistently enjoy. Overall, the culture felt stressful rather than supportive. The pace, lack of structure, excessive meetings, and constant process made it difficult to focus on recruiting, which is what I was hired to do. I wish I had paid more attention to previous Glassdoor reviews before accepting the position because my experience closely matched many of them. Another frustrating aspect was the lack of predictability. The CEO regularly scheduled meetings on Sundays for the upcoming week, meaning I never knew what my Monday schedule looked like until the day before. It made it difficult to plan my personal time or feel any sense of work life balance. By the end of just two weeks, I felt mentally exhausted and overwhelmed.
