The customers were generally straightforward.

The constant departure of people was not unusual but systematic. I started in customer success expecting to build relationships with customers and find real solutions, but within weeks I understood the actual function of the department: we were responsible for customer outcomes we had almost no power to influence, while people in charge made all the decisions and faced none of the consequences. I spent most days waiting for approvals instead of solving customer problems. My colleagues either accepted this and burned out or left, and I watched this pattern dozens of times across my tenure. The company hired constantly to replace people, never questioning why people kept leaving. Eventually I left too, and by the time I did it was hard to remember why I had thought this place would be different from the last few jobs.
