Can get quite political at times, but usually doesn't become intolerable. There are lots of qualified people all waiting for promotions, and they just don't/can't come around that often. So, get in, drive hard to the highest level you can get to, recognize it, and look to jump to another company if you want to continue growing. Once things slow/stop they won't likely restart within Target. Remember that it is a company about executing the strategy -- not nearly as innovative as you might think.
