I started my recruitment career at Taylor Hopkinson, joining as an Associate Consultant and progressing to a Lead Consultant, managing a team within 3 years. I left TH due to personal reasons but I would highly recommend them as an employer to anyone looking to get into recruitment or any experienced recruiters. I received a high level of training and support throughout my time and I am very grateful for the skills and experience I have gained. I am proof that TH are an employer committed to career development, including external accredited management course undertaken during work time. There is such a team work ethic across the whole business, no feeling of dog eat dog that i have heard can be a thing in other recruitment companies, but a great balance of healthy competition and fun! It felt like going to work with my friends everyday, friends I will have for life, and yes there were tough times like in all business but we faced challenges as a team and always felt like we were all in it together. There were always plenty of opportunities for relocation and this was actively encouraged and supported by management, unfortunately it did not suit me personally, but some had some amazing opportunities to relocate to Asia and the US and loved it. Some of the best experiences of my life were spent at TH, from travelling to some amazing cities for client and candidate visits, industry events, all expenses paid company incentives, top class training and plenty of socials - both organised and impromptu, you can't beat a beer and pizza on the veranda overlooking the city with your colleagues after a hard day at work! When telling TH I was leaving due to my personal circumstances, they were extremely supportive and I do believe the door will always be open if circumstances change. People don't tend to leave TH, unless they don't respond to help offered to them for under performance or those that I saw leave for the grass is greener, they actually came back to TH. Compared to other employers I have worked for, TH offered the best salary / commission I have ever earned and benefits were good - I have heard even better since I left and now offering gym membership. TH offer a flexible working from home routine with 2 days a week on average wfh. Top spec laptop and phone make working remotely easy, whilst the office is modern and comfortable so nice to work in the office with colleagues in a good, city center location.
