Pros are hard to say after the fact due to how toxic this organization is - but it is remote which is nice
Svantaggi
This is truly the most toxic job I have ever had in my life. Also notice that most of the good reviews are from current employees, many of which are upper management. No training or even resources in order to be independent on your own - just an expectation to do everything in the specific way that they are doing it & then talking down to you if you don’t the very first time. The VP of marketing is the CEO’s daughter which would be fine if it was communicated that that would mean she would give no guidance but then have a very specific vision & want to have approval of every single project but also not communicate any expectations or be on top of approval process, & then if you don’t get it done on time you would be talked down to even if the reason it wasn’t done was because of her lack of approvals.
During my time here I would be given feedback on calls that I was doing great, & then receive sometimes up to 6 paragraph long messages at 8pm about all the things wrong with my projects, and when I would bring it up on a call it would be said that I was doing great again. It was also told to me by my manager that she uses chat gpt for everything & it got to the point that the corrections on my project were my manager correcting their own work, I say that loosely since it was all very clearly chat gpt but you get the idea. She provided feedback on her own work saying I wasn’t taking direction and needed to do better…when the work she was commenting on was literally something she wrote. Then when I would ask for clarification or more direction since it seemed that there was a clear vision there would be no feedback other than it needed to be as good as Nike’s “just do it” slogan & also got extremely defensive and angry at the fact I even brought up that she corrected her own work. I asked if I could record meetings since I would be told to do one thing then later told I was never told to do that, & was told no. I have never been a part of an organization with so much micromanagement. Looking back even during my interview a sales manager wanted to interview me & then talked down to me the entire time, & acted like I was wasting their time despite them requesting the interview. Oh, I also was never told during the interview process that I would be reporting to who I did, or even interviewed with them. It was communicated to me about 3 months in that even though we were supposed to be team mates that I would be reporting to her because the VP was too busy, which is who I was told was my direct manager during the interview process & we never even had a 1:1 meeting in the entirety of my time working there.
It seems this place thrives on power trips & humiliating people guised as work hard play hard mentality. One of my coworkers once had the flu & was still working but off camera on the call & the VP called her out in front of everyone & then said “well the flu doesn’t affect your face does it, turn your camera on”
