100% remote work Nice coworkers

Svantaggi

- They're constantly saying there are growth opportunities when in reality there are not. - They promote unlimited PTO but it isn't. They complain when you take any days off but then the owners' kids can take up to a month off. - Severely underpaid employees, well below the average cost of living. I knew many who could barely afford rent and groceries, living paycheck to paycheck, while the owner and other executives went on pricey vacations. - Health insurance, the top tier, does not cover most medically necessary procedures, medicine, or appointments. - Severance for less than a month if laid off, and the same with health insurance coverage - The company protects the hire-ups and no one else. It doesn't really scream the "Team" mentality they preach. - Nepotism trickles throughout the company. Family is chosen for managerial/executive positions rather than those who have years of experience.

Thank you for taking the time to share your perspective. While we’re glad you found value in our remote work structure and your colleagues, we want to address several points in your review that do not reflect the reality of our practices or values. We are committed to providing real growth opportunities, and many team members have experienced promotions and internal advancement based on performance and contribution. While not every path looks the same, development is a key part of our culture. Regarding PTO, our unlimited policy is designed to offer flexibility and trust. Employees are encouraged to take time off to recharge, and any concerns about PTO usage are handled directly and fairly—not based on favoritism. Similarly, our compensation strategy is regularly benchmarked against industry standards and adjusted based on role, performance, and market conditions. Our benefits—including health coverage and severance—are thoughtfully selected to support our team. While no plan fits every situation, we aim to provide coverage that balances value and accessibility. We also want to be clear: hiring decisions—at every level—are based on qualifications, experience, and fit, not personal relationships. We understand that perception matters, but we reject the idea that nepotism drives our leadership structure. We care deeply about our team and are always working to improve. While this review does not accurately reflect our company’s reality, we’re committed to listening and growing—because we believe every voice matters.

Vantaggi

One of the biggest pros of working with Team Velocity Marketing is the opportunity to grow in a fast-paced, constantly evolving industry. The company gives you exposure to automotive marketing, SEO, client strategy, technology, and team collaboration in a way that keeps the work interesting and rarely repetitive. There are always new challenges to solve, which can help you build stronger skills, take on more responsibility, and learn from experienced people across different departments. The team environment is also a major plus, with supportive coworkers who care about doing good work and helping clients succeed.

Svantaggi

One potential con of working with Team Velocity Marketing is that the fast-paced environment can sometimes feel demanding, especially when priorities shift quickly or multiple deadlines overlap. Because the company operates in a competitive and constantly changing industry, there can be a lot to keep up with, from client needs to platform updates and internal processes. At times, the workload may feel heavy, and communication across teams can vary depending on the project or situation. That said, these challenges also come with the territory of working in a growing, high-energy marketing company, and they can be manageable for people who are adaptable, organized, and comfortable with change.

Pros are hard to say after the fact due to how toxic this organization is - but it is remote which is nice

Svantaggi

This is truly the most toxic job I have ever had in my life. Also notice that most of the good reviews are from current employees, many of which are upper management. No training or even resources in order to be independent on your own - just an expectation to do everything in the specific way that they are doing it & then talking down to you if you don’t the very first time. The VP of marketing is the CEO’s daughter which would be fine if it was communicated that that would mean she would give no guidance but then have a very specific vision & want to have approval of every single project but also not communicate any expectations or be on top of approval process, & then if you don’t get it done on time you would be talked down to even if the reason it wasn’t done was because of her lack of approvals. During my time here I would be given feedback on calls that I was doing great, & then receive sometimes up to 6 paragraph long messages at 8pm about all the things wrong with my projects, and when I would bring it up on a call it would be said that I was doing great again. It was also told to me by my manager that she uses chat gpt for everything & it got to the point that the corrections on my project were my manager correcting their own work, I say that loosely since it was all very clearly chat gpt but you get the idea. She provided feedback on her own work saying I wasn’t taking direction and needed to do better…when the work she was commenting on was literally something she wrote. Then when I would ask for clarification or more direction since it seemed that there was a clear vision there would be no feedback other than it needed to be as good as Nike’s “just do it” slogan & also got extremely defensive and angry at the fact I even brought up that she corrected her own work. I asked if I could record meetings since I would be told to do one thing then later told I was never told to do that, & was told no. I have never been a part of an organization with so much micromanagement. Looking back even during my interview a sales manager wanted to interview me & then talked down to me the entire time, & acted like I was wasting their time despite them requesting the interview. Oh, I also was never told during the interview process that I would be reporting to who I did, or even interviewed with them. It was communicated to me about 3 months in that even though we were supposed to be team mates that I would be reporting to her because the VP was too busy, which is who I was told was my direct manager during the interview process & we never even had a 1:1 meeting in the entirety of my time working there. It seems this place thrives on power trips & humiliating people guised as work hard play hard mentality. One of my coworkers once had the flu & was still working but off camera on the call & the VP called her out in front of everyone & then said “well the flu doesn’t affect your face does it, turn your camera on”
