As a former staff who proudly served 10 years with Tele-centre before stepping down due to medical reasons, I feel it’s only right to share my honest experience and the positive changes I personally witnessed over the years.
While no company is perfect, it’s simply unfair to overlook the tremendous efforts made by the leadership and HR teams to create a better and more supportive workplace. In recent years, under the guidance of our current HODs and dedicated CSMs, the company has made real strides in caring for its people. From quarterly makan sessions, snack breaks, and festive celebrations, these moments were not just about food—they brought everyone together, recharged our spirits, and reminded us that we’re part of a big family.
One of the biggest highlights for me was when Tele-centre achieved the prestigious PWM credential. This wasn’t just a title—it came with meaningful actions. I personally received a generous pay increment, and the company surprised me with a 10-year Long Service Award incentive. That moment was deeply touching, and I remain sincerely grateful. It felt like my years of hard work and loyalty were truly seen and appreciated.
The management also took real steps to care for our well-being. Wellness and mental health programs were introduced through digital platforms, giving us easy access to support when we needed it most. Birthday leaves were a thoughtful touch, and the flexible work arrangements were a lifesaver during unexpected situations.
On top of that, the company didn’t just invest in operations—it invested in people. The executive team was given advanced training, including Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt certifications, and various staff were selected for capability refresh programs. This level of support and professional development was something I hadn’t seen in years, and it was a remarkable and generous change.
I also want to take a moment to congratulate the team for becoming a finalist of the HR Asia Best Employer of the Year. That recognition is well deserved. It’s a clear reflection of the positive changes happening on the ground—changes I witnessed first-hand.
Lastly, I must give full credit to our CEO, whose leadership has been nothing short of inspiring. Despite the challenges, she stood firm in building a people-first culture. Her sincerity and dedication were always evident in the way she engaged with staff and pushed for improvements that mattered.
To those reading reviews, I encourage you to look at the full picture and not just a single perspective. Tele-centre isn’t just a workplace—it’s a place where real efforts are being made to care for people and help them grow.

There have been multiple cases where staff were involved in serious issues like money lending activities and harassment. While the company has been very understanding and given many of them second chances, I believe this approach can be too lenient. There should be stricter enforcement of disciplinary actions to send a clear and strong message that such behavior will not be tolerated. This will help maintain a professional and safe working environment for everyone.
