Lack of leadership from upper management and their weird obsession with having employees working unpaid OT. They are also too distracted trying to chase new business opportunities and bigger clients that they don't have the resources to handle instead of maintaining good relationships with existing clients. Also, they're unreasonably stingy when it comes to budgeting: expects employees to pull diamonds out of thin air. And even more unreasonable when it comes to talent/resource management: gets upset and disappointed when an entry-level employee cannot deliver a project that is should have been done by a senior art director. Promised benefits such as insurance never came. There's a hint of nepotism also: one of the art directors is the founder's wife and no one shall dare cross her. The overall attitude of the people is really toxic; work with them long enough and you'll become one of them. That explains the high staff turnover.

Big name clients and great colleagues who are generally nice to work with

No professionalism in the management as they are only obsessed to chase profits, signing on new businesses with no intent to impress and retain. Neither do they make an effort to retain current clients. Management has no pride in the artwork produced and leaves all work to the staff to deal with especially with limited resources. All work is deemed easy and doable in a short time although management are all from advertising industries and should understand the processes. Creative interns are constantly hired to do jobs way out of their league and management does not take responsibility to train them to deliver, rather the colleagues step up to do so. There are no career progression nor pay rise opportunities despite resigned staff who are never replaced. Interns are forced to do work that should be completed by managers/directors. Management rejects anyone who questions and tries to manage workload, nor any suggestions related to them spending money on their staff. Salary and claims usually not on time.
