Vantaggi
Good money - if you turn tables fast and don't mind slaving over a shift. Not recommended for the thin-skinned people.
Svantaggi
It's pretty much a cult. Indoctrination starts on day one of training. If you posses any ambition outside the restaurant industry or have an independent spirit, steer clear. You are always forced to claim more than you made during a shift. Management does not care about you. THEY DO NOT CARE ABOUT YOU, unless you "suck up." They will not defend you, unless it's in in their best interest. The management I worked under were cold, blatantly self-serving, arrogant "cheese heads" who were clearly on board the crazy train in route to cheesecake glory, ready to take advantage of their positions. Drug and alcohol use among the servers is rampant, and I don't mean the occasional nitecap after a busy evening shift. It became more apparent the longer I was there. Learning the ins and outs of the menu is a daunting task. 100+ items. Most food is dated, uninspired rehashed americanized 'ethnic food' crap that your local diner will do so much better. Last, but not least, the famed cheesecake the chain is reverend about, their namesake, their bread and butter - is basic, at best. What can you say, you can't expect much from pre-made frozen "cheesecake" put together at some factory. I strongly believe the factors stated above are only a fraction of the problems The Cheesecake Factory possesses when it comes to their employees and working conditions. If you value your soul, stay away.
