Based on my experience, I have concerns that some hiring and workplace decisions may not always be transparent or based solely on merit. I believe favoritism and internal politics can negatively affect fairness, employee morale, and the organization's reputation. I sincerely request that future hiring decisions be made through a fair, transparent, and skill-based process. A strong and ethical hiring process is essential for attracting and retaining talented employees. I was based at Cigna’s Bloomfield headquarters and thoroughly enjoyed my time there. I had the opportunity to work alongside exceptionally smart, action-oriented colleagues and business partners who were knowledgeable, responsive, and dependable. People knew their subject matter, provided direct answers, and consistently followed through on their commitments. The organization was highly professional, well-managed, and organized. The Wilde Building had a positive, forward-thinking energy that made it an enjoyable place to work. The cafeteria offered excellent food options, and the views overlooking Gillette Ridge Golf Club were a nice bonus. 30% annual bonus was greatly appreciated. Finally, I personally believed in the leadership of the CEO and the entire ELT.

During my two years with the company, I reported to three different managers, which created instability. One manager, in particular, created significant challenges for both the broader team and me. Multiple team members raised concerns with Human Resources, but no action was taken. The company also regularly conducts smaller-scale workforce reductions and position eliminations. These actions can occur across various departments and at different times, which creates uncertainty among employees. Because these reductions are small, they don't trigger a WARN Act or receive media attention. As a result, employees feel a heightened sense of job insecurity regarding future organizational changes.
