Vantaggi
- Met a lot of awesome coworkers (excluding management) - Gained experience in a sales environment
Svantaggi
- Hiring process is absolutely unprofessional (interviewer is late, no official contract to sign on the day of hire, etc.) - Pay is absolutely terrible (they do their absolute best to pay you minimum wage, no matter how much you work/do). - No training. Whatsoever. You're given a small slip of paper and told to do exactly that. Keyholders were hired on 1 day, and told to open/close by themselves THE NEXT DAY. Without any sort of formal training, or even a proper booklet. - Required to give mini facials/makeovers to customers in-store. Given absolutely no training or guidance. Tools (brushes, etc.) are rarely sanitized, nor is there strict enforcement on sterilizing any testers in the store at that. - Insanely high personal sales goals (managers conveniently scratch out their goals, so you're stuck with THEIR goals.) - No commission whatsoever - Barely any gratis (We used to get free samples as "gratis"... it was so pathetic.) - Scheduling was terrible (Given a week-by-week schedule, and oftentimes we were given the next week's schedule on a Friday or Saturday.) - Constant schedule changing (Shift cancellation/cuts last minute, hour cuts, all of which are unexplained) - No break room/proper back room (Everyone's bags/outdoor shoes were shoved in a tiny closet. You can imagine how messy it got there during the peak seasons)
