I’ve made some lifelong friends and the creative team really are the shining light of the company.

I originally applied and interviewed for an account manager role (having been one for the previous 4 years), but I was offered a role as senior account executive. Given that we were mid pandemic, I took the role on the provision that an account manager position was on the table and we would be moving towards this. I was in this role for nearly two years, with the AM role constantly dangled but goal posts changing and moving. There was absolutely no support provided by line management to get to the next level, just passive commentary around ‘you’re nearly there’ and ‘I want to promote you but’ with no real key objectives given to make that next step. The focus is constantly on targets and making money, with no strategy in place to take things to the next level. This leads to anxiety and burn out in the client services team. The leadership team is heavily male centric with the MD constantly making inappropriate comments and joking to not report him to hr. For all the bravado that is posted on LinkedIn, there is no follow through internally. A toxic culture and poor mental health and well-being is plastered over with internal coffee and catch up meetings that no-one can attend because they are too busy. There is no investment in people, no additional training offered and unfortunately no accountability by leadership to resolve this.

Lots of variety of client work Great professional and personal development Senior management are really approachable and friendly MDs are open to input and new ideas - agency is constantly evolving and looking for new ways of doing things Ops team really looks after their staff, regular coffee and catch up meetings, well being check ins and managing staff remotely is really well done Line managers are really supportive and there is a clear progression plan in place if you say you want to learn more or have some progression in your role Account Directors are really supportive, nothing is too much trouble or bother and you feel like you can always turn to them.

Have grown quite quickly into a medium sized agency and some of the processes need some time to catch up.
