You're basically a telemarketer or a scam. Explanation below. I HIGHLY ENCOURAGE YOU TO READ THE ENTIRE THING. Intro- I was contacted by Marc for the position. He usually hires everyone and gives them the walk through of the facilities during the interview, however it could be someone else as well. He will tell you about how your role is being a recruiter for ThinkPoint Financial and how important the position is for finding the right candidates for the job. He is also excellent at making your concerns sound like small problems. Reality - First off they tell you that you'll make $35K base pay for a year, but after I crunched the numbers I realized I was making far under that both before and after taxes. Roughly $2.5K - $3.5K lower than promised. As soon as you are through with the very fast onboarding process and moved to the floor they switch from saying "recruiter" to "salesperson." I'll explain that below. Day to Day - The reason you're considered a salesperson is because this job needs persuasion not professionalism. It quickly goes downhill from here. As soon as you're able to get a script for the calls they tell you when you're on the phone to refer to the company as "Cypress Bay Solutions." I highly encourage you to look up the reviews on that company as well. Look up job reviews for the Outside Sales People as well as the businesses they sold to who also left reviews on Facebook. It is pretty easy to decipher between the legitimate reviews and the fake reviews. You REALLY need to know what you're dealing with. I can't STRESS THIS ENOUGH. CONSIDER THOSE REVIEWS ON CYPRESS BAY! This is who you're hiring and what you're getting yourself and them involved in! Things to look out for- Majority of the people you call will not know what you're talking about. I always wondered if they paid some company to give them random resumes. You'll hear many busy signals, voicemails, or automated messaging saying the person you called is unavailable. YOU ARE BLOCKED. They say that most of the candidates are from Zip Recruiter but they're mostly from accidental quick applies on other sites. Sometimes you'll get called back because what you told them to get them interested with the job is not at all what they receive in the field. You are to hire at least 10 people a week for the Outside Sales position. You do not get commission until you hit that number. When I left many of the employees complained about how difficult it was to hit the numbers then vs. when they initially were hired. I understand if you need to make ends meet, but trust me THE FUTURE WITH THIS COMPANY ISN'T A PERMANENT ONE. ** Test ** If they rush you while you're doing this research or try to tell you the deadline is close for the job being filled then you don't need this job! You are supposed to be a recruiter! You are the backbone in the company on whether it hires the correct personnel to improve the company overall. If they can't allow you to put thought into that then just imagine how much free will they plan to give you once they control your income. Honestly I never leave bad reviews. This is the first job I've ever had to tell my friends and family steer clear of. I hate that I have to do this, but I can't standing knowing they're wasting everyone's time and money with no remorse. **Remember, Marc will make this all seem like it isn't a big deal!
