Working at Overlay is fun yet still professional. Everyone treats each other with respect and like adults. There's no micromanagement or tedious task list checking that bigger companies with lots of middle managers running around tend to do. You're are treated like an adult, not a child at daycare. Everyone is smart, knowledgable, and respectful. You know what you need to do, and when, and it's on you to meet your deadlines. The atmosphere is relaxed with good camaraderie between everyone.
We do occasional team building events from river rafting to learning to brew beer or the occasional escape room. There's a good understanding of work-life balance along with taking it easy once in a while and not focused on work and deadlines all the time.

It can get a bit noisy in the office at times making it hard to concentrate.
The office space is nice, but parking can be haphazard as it's street level parking.
