Great community, great place to work, nice students with a lot of diversity

no cons during my experience

Running a full-time language school in a major, cosmopolitan center is a full-time job. Students from over 30 countries with vastly different cultures and different expectations about the United States create an active, often hectic environment. Nonetheless, having worked at Transworld for 3 years, I can say that beneath the hectic appearance that is common to all language schools, Transworld is secure and stable to the core. A full-time staff is maintained and teachers have set schedules which do not change. Faculty is never subjected to a "who's available", first come, first served employment status. Classes are never cancelled due to unforeseen conditions like instructor illness or absence. Qualified substitutes are found and the class schedules that students have paid for are maintained in their entirety. As well, in my time working there, I have never been misled by the management team. Policy decisions are presented clearly and carried out efficiently. When they are subject to change, the changes are clearly set forth and there is never any ambiguity about new procedure. The directorship and management at Transworld has never made any assurance to me that they have not lived up to, and I have never been poorly informed--either inadvertently or deliberately--about any issue concerning administration, curriculum, my tenure there or anything else. In an industry that is by its very nature subject to fluctuation and a certain amount of uncertainty, the comportment of Transworld Schools, in my experience, has been solid and completely professional all along.

The directorship/management has over 30 years experience in language instruction and school administration. They're highly qualified.
