Vantaggi

Has the potential to be a great place to work, but so much needs to change.

Svantaggi

Owner refuses to listen to anybody that raises any concern or criticism, no matter how justifiable or well-meaning. The comapny is one big vanity project. Company culture is built on a foundation of intimidation and bullying from the top down. Cronyism rules. Staff expertise is downplayed. Employees are seen as dispensable. Publishing mission statement is horribly at odds with the reality. Hard work goes unnoticed and unrewarded.

Vantaggi

- get to produce important books that add to the conversation around mental health.

Svantaggi

- toxic workplace - employees unappreciated and not listened to - bullying by managers passed off as a “character flaw” on their part by the company’s owner - no progression - no training - no communication - bad pay rates, yet the Chairman is paid six figures while getting rid of lower staff because of money issues. - managers “don’t care” about employee health; stress breakdowns are “small fry” (direct quote).
