Vantaggi

Good work/life balance for a churn 'n burn software company - WHEN we have work. Convenient location with easy access to 410 and I-10 as well as the Medical Center.

Svantaggi

There is no trust amongst colleagues. Nobody knows when the next sudden layoffs or firings will occur, and they are often kept secret for days or weeks after the fact. Newer management is disengaged from the work force and updates are vague and few and far between. The outlook is grim from what we can see and morale is low because we have seen fellow co-workers dismissed under some really shady circumstances. If you have a VISA, don't take a vacation out of the country or you're likely to get stranded outside of the U.S. when they lay you off with zero notice. I'm not kidding. Based on what I have seen, the management has very little experience in this industry, and that is troublesome.

Vantaggi

Opportunities abound to learn about so many different technologies and processes. Great team members to work with. Especially great for Java and Oracle developers

Svantaggi

Deadlines can be challenging - but often this is because of client requirements - need to be quick on your feet.

Vantaggi

Trinity is really good for allowing new employees to have meaningful input. If you are recognized as good you could be leading a task after only a month or two. There are also some really good people in middle management and below in the software engineering department. The director of software engineering is really great. .

Svantaggi

There have been four rounds of layoffs in the past six months (some for performance reasons, some for company financial reasons). This has affected all positions in the company from developer to Sr VP. The new COO says that it is to improve the "get it out the door" culture, but so far it's hard to see the progress beyond the missed people. It feels like it has really hit rock bottom. I expect things to stay the same for a few months then marginally improve. After that I can see us either closing the doors or doing really well. In a year or two it may be a good place to work if the restructuring works out, but it's to soon to tell. It's a risk to work here right now.
