TurnAround's core values align with mine (compassion, empathy, and empowerment), which makes this a pleasant nonprofit to work for. My team is incredible, with dedicated leadership that supports us wholeheartedly. Many of my most impactful projects began because I was given the creative freedom to develop and execute them. Professional development, even outside of the scope of my own work, has been encouraged, which means I have had the opportunity to develop new skills I wouldn't have otherwise. Lots of passionate, dedicated, service-minded staff working across the agency.

While the creative freedom is wonderful, sometimes the overall accountability at the agency is lacking. There is still a disconnect in terms of effective cross-team communication, as well as standardizing the onboarding procedure agency-wide. TurnAround is still growing rapidly as we try to keep pace with the sharp increase in demand for our services, so I say all this while still allowing the agency breathing room to catch up. All big transitions such as these are bumpy, so just bear in mind that these cons may no longer be applicable in a year's time.
