Some Mgmt needs to reassess what really matters and that's the customer, not numbers. first let me say that any awards they put out about it being the best place to work is really an honest joke. The department I was in was run by those who care more about metrics than the customers. 90% of what I had to deal with were customers threatening to leave because the product was incomplete or lack there of in terms of use and functionality. Sales lying to them about new features and tools that are non existent and my group needing to pick up the pieces and putting out fires. When trying to reach out to sales mgmt, they act dumb like "oh what...we don't have that feature??? Are you sure???". No really, if i wasn't sure, i wouldn't be contacting you b/c of a dissatisfied customer. Let's get on to metrics. The whole mgmt talking about we are a team is really a joke here. The core are a great group of folks but mgmt doesn't like it when we talk to one another and give each other advice or help. "I expect you to solve things on your own. I don't want you talking to your peers. You're wasting their time and yours". Kind of difficult when documentation is lacking and any notes are clearly written by 5 year olds. No accountability. People are forced by mgmt to get that number, reach that quota. Pretty much do and say anything to get it. So when customers do come back unhappy, and angry. Its a repeated cycle.
