We are happy to hear you had great colleagues, as a respectful culture is a priority for us. We have been navigating change to transform in today's quickly evolving market. UL Solutions was a not-for-profit until 2012. So, the business has evolved to include more rigor and structure. However, restructuring is not a decision that management takes lightly. These changes are the result of thoughtful decisions our leadership team has made to deliver on our values of growth and integrity.
The work is interesting. Some decent travel is available if desired. If you work hard and set yourself apart from others you can earn a promotion.

It’s all about who you know. All responsibilities fall on Engineering. Engineering does much more than “engineer” and spend too much time on stuff that admin staff “should be able” to do. When something needs to change the usual solution is to have Engineers be responsible for it because many non-engineers can’t handle mediocre tasks.
