Vantaggi

I cannot think of any since it was a complete disappointment.

Svantaggi

1) They hire non-Libyan staff members who are not aware at all of the situation in Libya. 2) Difference in treatment between local staff and non-locals. 3) They do not maintain the equal opportunity policies like they claim, as the post (Only for Libyans) for the risky, poor and low grade positions, however, they ask (Not for Libyans) when there is a highly paid position, and usually they select candidates based on favoritism. 4) Corruption, taking sides and pay facilitation fees is noticeable. 5) The HR staff in Tunis lack email writing skills, they poorly handle the recruitment procedures, the process takes almost a year with no results nor feedback given to applicants. 6) Kinship and favoritism can be noticed within the entire management of the organization not just with the HR department.

Vantaggi

Working at the UN was an amazing experience, being able to take part in such a significant mission was great.

Svantaggi

As I was not a full-time volunteer and was also responsible for fundraising in my territory, I felt that I did not receive the same treatment as the other volunteers. It was a challenging role and experience, and at times it felt like my well-being was not fully considered.
